I can remember singing songs I had made up, to my Grandfather when I was about four years old. I was a dreamy and non-academic child growing up and was thrilled when I got into art College after leaving high school in Devon, UK.

I found a new set of friends and a new hippy social life, along the way I managed to do some art history and graphic design but that was not to be my path in life.

I left College before the end of the course and joined a contemporary jazz band, writing songs, singing and performing.

I have always loved color, I love texture and I love fabric and what I create now is a combination of all those things, plus getting messy and covered in glue in the process makes it even better.

About the art:

Created using small pieces of fabric dipped in a solution of diluted, water based acid free glue that dries hard, capturing each piece in position as it was laid on the canvas. There is depth, texture and perspective to the finished panels that make them jump from the wall to your eyes.

Photography is a form of self-expression for me; I think I may be just a tad obsessed with capturing the moment. Fortunately I have a very patient husband and family. My husband is a musician and composer, because of him I have been able to travel around the world, in fact one and a half times around the world in 2011, when he toured with Alice Cooper.

I take so many photographs I need to keep buying flash drives to store them all on, but once the bug bit me it was too late.

I picked some of my favorite shots for this store; hopefully there will be more to come.

I had received so many positive remarks and encouragement about my photographs from our Facebook that I thought how cool it would be if you could buy a lovely image set inside a neutral cream background that would sit comfortably with almost any room color. I decided to tint all the images slightly to tone in with the cream, hence the name of the store.

I put some cool quotes underneath the images, which led to the idea of people being able to compose their very own quotes or dedications.

All this is possible these days, and that is where technology has really widened the scope for every creative person on the planet. And there are a lot of us!
